Carter as Dhimwit
For many years I've been asking myself, "When will Jimmy Carter croak?" Never, it seems.
To find out more about Jimmuh Cahtuh, the idiot who thinks Hamas' election victory was "beautiful," go here. Glen Reinsford knocked the peanut out of the ballpark.

UAE port deal: low character on the left
Who are these members of the new American left? Haven't I heard the name Chuck Schumer somewhere before? Nancy Pelosi? Diane Feinstein? Who are these people?
These are the wild-eyed whackjobs who like to call the war on terror "Bush's war," or the "so-called war on terror," as if 9/11 never occurred. These same whackjobs told us that because the air conditioning was too cold at Guantanamo Bay (in Cuba in August, no less), it was torture. These raving lunatics told us we removed Saddam Hussein for oil, when I haven't seen one miserable black drop -- three years after we stopped mass murder, genuine torture, and other genocidal acts.
Now, when the left hears about a UAE company winning a contract to control several U.S. ports, they're arm-in-arm, hand-in-hand, dick-in-ass, talking about how Bush is in error for threatening to veto a bill to block the port deal. Wtf? They COMPLETELY change their entire modus operandi when they see an opportunity to attack Bush. This is more transparent than cling wrap. They should be embarassed for themselves. Damn. Don't they own mirrors?
Let me recap, just to see that I get it. Far-left whackjobs who deny there are terrorists in the world (John Kerry calls them a "nuisance"), are upset that the UAE will be given administrative control over ports?
This completely defines the problem with the left. "Anything to get at Bush" is the ENTIRE Democratic party platform. It's laughable.
For the record: I am not a Republican, I am an atheist, and I am completely against any Arab, Muslim, or Middle Eastern country having any control over any U.S. ports. There are two reasons for this: old-fashioned common sense, and Entebbe. The difference between me being against the port deal, and the left being against the port deal, is that I haven't spent the last five years implying, or outright stating, that the war on terror is Bush's war.

Bumper stickers: The American left's last stand?
A curious article published at the BBC says the "American left has faded away."
...The American left has faded away.
Only their bumper stickers remain, like cockroaches after a nuclear holocaust.
"Re-defeat George Bush," they whine. Not knowing, not caring that the world has changed.

No money to Hamas, period
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: If President Bush sends even one nickel of my money to Hamas, I will take it out on his political party for the next 20 years. I'll quit smoking if that's what it takes for me to live another 20 years.
This includes repackaging the money, or sending through USAID, or through the UN, or any other subterfuge. People who conduct suicide bombings against innocent civilians (or anyone else, for that matter), will not have access to my money.
I HOPE THAT'S CRYSTAL CLEAR.
Latest news: Hamas website calls for nuclear destruction of Israel.

California delays execution
I can't believe California is postponing the snuffing of Michael Morales. Come on! The last one was so much fun!

I hate Olympic skating events
The Winter Olympics suck because of all the damned skating. There's figure skating, dance skating, singles skating, doubles skating, short programs, long programs...

Welcome
Welcome, new readers. I hope you like this blog. If not, I cordially invite you to:
1. Fuck yourself.
2. Slam your genetalia with a blunt object. Better yet, have somebody else do it.
3. Drive a No. 2 pencil through your larynx while singing Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Call Me the Breeze".
Thanks for stopping by.

Cartoonish Muslims protest free speech
Have you been following this? According to NPR, a German man was kidnapped (and then released), and riots have been erupting worldwide -- all because a Danish newspaper published images of Allah and Mohammed. Any depiction of these two characters is forbidden by Islam.
The BBC has several stories on the Muslim problem: 1, 2, 3.
It's not a terrible shock that a perceived insult to Islam has Muslims calling for death and making murderous threats. It is a pattern repeated since the diseased "caliphate" blighted the world nigh on 12 centuries ago. The current emulation of the Dark Agers going nuts is because they don't understand free speech, they don't have it, and they don't even want it.
Note that when Monty Python made "The Life of Brian," and after it was deemed blasphemous by the Vatican, no Christians set fire to anything, nor threatened anyone's life nor kidnapped a single human being. (I'm atheist, but the comparison is quite meaningful).
Likewise when the notorious "Piss Christ" debuted some years back in the United States, Christians didn't call for the blood of infidels.
Oh how the world tires of Dark Age fundamentalists. The West is not at war with Islam, we're just getting extremely bored with it.
In the name of art and free speech, I present the following:

Iran: Iraq Part Deux
1. An obstinate Middle Eastern leader issues threats to its neighbors and engages in schizoid saber rattling with any nation willing to engage.
2. Upon learning said Middle Eastern country is developing weapons of mass destruction in secret, Eurocratic and UN weapons inspectors are invited, and then ejected.
3. Repeat No. 2.
4. Repeat No. 2.
5. Repeat No. 2.
6. The UN debates referral to the Security Council, with objections raised by Russia and China. Eventually Russia softens, and the matter moves to the SC.
1-6 could describe pre-war Iraq or the present situation with Iran. Will Iran's path follow Iraq as we move forward?
7. Watered down by China, sanctions are imposed, whilst the obstinate Iranian leader increases the flow and volume of unhinged rhetoric.
8. Years of sanctions ensue, costing UN member nations billions and billions of dollars. No end in sight.
9. Iran ignores more than 20 consecutive UN Security Council resolutions.
10. UN responds by issuing another resolution.
11. Led by France and China, many nations deal with Iran in secret, amounting to the largest instance of fraud in human history.
12. The United States liberates the people of Iran, simultaneously removing the threat posed by the leadership. Democratic elections are scheduled.
13. When chrome-plated, nuclear bombs are not found lying around in Tehran's town square, the socialist world and their liberal cousins call U.S. president a "liar".
14. Just prior to U.S. elections, and more than 18 months after major combat operations have concluded, Kojo Annan, Secretary General of the United Nations, declares the Iran War illegal.
15. Just prior to U.S. elections, Michael Moore II launches documentary film showing Iranian children flying kites alongside a peaceful river, omitting scores of years worth of brutal tortures and some of the most oppressive conditions humans have ever been forced to live under.
16. Just prior to U.S. elections, a CBS News Anchor smears president with invalid documents. He is forced into retirement. Others are fired.
17. U.S. president re-elected.
18. Moonpuppet Sheehan, grand daughter of Cindy Sheehan, camps outside the president's home, professing anger that the president won't meet with her. Sheehan omits the word "again". She is championed by the liberal press and Venezuela's chubby, megalomaniacal leader, Hugo Chavez, Jr.

'The cold and casual "hi"'
Saying "hi" to someone is cold and casual, is it not? What about hello?
I found an interesting story at Islam Online, written by a guy named Sherif Quinn. He's a Brit who went to Saudi Arabia and other points in the Middle East, and realized that Islam is much better than Christianity.
For instance:
Sherif should probably keep that in mind when he extols the virtues of Islam and the less than free societies that cling to it.
And, not to be outdone by the nutjobs at Islam Online, IslamiCity has a piece about terrorism becoming the official law of the land in the Palestinian territories.
There have been "martyrdom" operations eminating from the Palestinian territories for decades, fomented by the late terrorist-in-chief Yes Sir Arafat. I am fucking tired of it. My money does NOT go to these people. And I DO have a say in it.
From MPAC:

For instance:
Hurtful tabloid newspaper gossip is alien to Muslim countries. The highest standards of courtesy are found in daily interactions: as-salamu `alaykum ("Peace be upon you") is the recurrent greeting, compared to the cold and casual "Hi."

The elections mark a new beginning, one in which Hamas will take another step in its transformation from a popular liberation movement into a legitimate political party. It is a fresh start - both for the party and for the Palestinians - and marks the beginning of a new reality on the ground. The sooner Israelis, Americans and Europeans accept this reality, the sooner we can move toward resolving differences, and avoiding further conflagration.

From MPAC:
If the U.S. imposes sanctions, anyone who does business or humanitarian work in the occupied territories will be endangered. Additionally, withdrawing any funds from the Palestinian Authority as a result of this election would be counterproductive, would wrongly punish the Palestinian people for voting their conscience, and would hinder democratization in the region.

No American money for Hamas
I had been worried about this, until now. The U.S. gives a lot of money to the Palestinians, and now that their parliament is comprised of terrorists, the flow of cash will change.
From AP:
From AP:
LONDON U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Sunday ruled out any American financial aid to a Hamas government in the Palestinian territories and said Washington wants Arab nations and others to cut off money as well.
Humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, many of whom are poor and unemployed, is likely on a "case-by-case basis," Rice said. She indicated that the Bush administration would follow through on aid promised to the current, U.S.-backed Palestinian government led by President Mahmoud Abbas.

Cindy Sheehan considers Senate run
From the bowls of Venezuela, a nation run by a megalomaniac Bush-hater, the radically unhinged Sheehan said she may challenge Diane Feinstein for one of California's Senate seats. (News story here.)
Sheehan lacks the intellectual cunning to dream up nonsense like this. I'd say her 15 minutes of fame went to her head, but, sadly, her fleeting moment went to others' heads.
The whole affair reminds me of the time Al Franken was considering running for a Minnesota Senate seat. Do you laugh, or just shake your head in mild bemusement?

Pelosi on the wiretapping case
Nancy Pelosi is asking questions about the wiretapping matter. Ooooooh, aaaaaaaaah. Another morbid creature of the left hisses and flicks its tongue.

Democratic Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi

Skiing Kerry calls for filibuster
John Kerry, the big loser in the 2004 presidential vote, called for a filibuster against Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito -- from a ski resort in Switzerland. This guy, along with most of the left, has zagged so far to the left he's closer to Mao Tse-dong or Joseph Stalin than the great moderates of American history. (News story here.)

Muslims at the gate
Question: What do you get when you combine AK47s and nuclear technology with 8th century fundamentalist ideals?
Answer: A big, big problem in the form of the modern Muslim radical.
Palestinians have elected members of an armed terrorist organization to fill numerous seats in parliament.
Iran threatens to block 25% of world's oil.
Let's swat these gnats. Even some liberals concur that wiping out the Nazis -- believers of a radical ideology -- was okay. Perhaps some will understand that radical Muslims are the new big problem facing the world.
Holy crap! I just found this misguided socialist (read: idiot) news outlet romanticizing Hamas elevation to the Palestinian parliament. My gawd.

RAMALLAH, West Bank—They got through it with flying colours, Fatah yellow and Hamas green, in a day that saw the two defining movements of the Palestinian people mesh as one.
And watching from the sidelines, you couldn't help but think this apparent triumph of ballots over bullets was really just the easy part.

Google conspires to oppress people of China
In the span of less than 10 days Google refuses a U.S. government order to turn over search records, presumably because it would infringe on American expectations of privacy (i.e. freedom and civil liberties), and Google accepts government censoring in China.
This is a troubling double-standard.
In America, anyone can criticize government, and the people have a long list of rights guaranteed by an iron-clad constitution. While the U.S. government occasionally overreaches its power, as may be the case when it asked for Google's search information, Chinese people have NO RIGHTS.
The Chinese have no freedom of speech, no free press, no freedom of religion, no freedom of assembly, or any other basic freedoms. Any Chinese citizen standing on a street corning declaring against the government will disappear, never to be seen again. Don't be fooled by the new Formula 1 race or the Shanghai tennis tournament. This is a sad system of government and a dubious place in which to live.
Searching for "oppression in China" won't be allowed at Google China. Here are the results the Chinese government doesn't want the people to see.
So why does Google agree to conspire with the communist Chinese government against the people of China, but won't help the U.S. government find Al Qaeda cells within the USA?
Well, Google, we're waiting for an answer.
In the news: Google says "yes" to China; "no" to America.

Palestinians still fucking themselves
Fatah, the terrorist organization founded and formerly led by the late king-of-all-terrorists, Yes Sir Arafat, shot and killed one of its own leaders today in the Palestinian territories.
Shaved Apes, I'm sorry that I have to be the one to break this to you. The Palestinian terrorism problem is not caused by poverty, the United States, or Israeli occupation. It's cultural.

NABLUS, West Bank - Palestinian gunmen linked to the ruling Fatah movement killed one of their party leaders Tuesday, increasing tensions on the eve of parliamentary balloting and raising doubts about a new pledge by armed groups in the West Bank and Gaza to hold their fire during the vote.
Alito goes to full Senate
The Senate committee tasked with giving an initial "yay" or "nay" to send Alito's confirmation to the full Senate has voted "yay" along party lines. Every Democrat voted against Alito because he wouldn't swear he wouldn't try to overturn Roe v. Wade. I laugh at these single-issue nays -- these far-left whackjobs like Kennedy and Schumer who care only about Roe-Roe-Roe.
I'm pro choice, and I could give a rat's ass.

Idiot blog comment filtering
I tried to post the following on a blog entry about Canada's elections:
"I didn't know what to make of Canada's elections. I'm glad the anti-American crowd were beaten, as they always are in the end, but I'm so disappointed with Canada as a whole that I really don't care."
My comment was rejected due to "questionable content." WTF? Idiot.
"Fuck off and die" didn't fare any better.
