Protesters greet Obama in Australia

Remember when Bush traveled the world, and every headline in the Lefty press began, "Protesters greeted Bush...."? When Obama went to Brazil earlier this year, he was greeted by protesters. Same thing now that he's in Australia, but the press is silent. I guess you can't publish the truth if it hurts your guy.

In Canberra protesters are rallying against Obama for the war in Afghanistan and the war on drugs. Canberra Times:
There will be no convoys of trucks, but pro-drug and anti-carbon tax protesters will assemble on Federation Mall to greet Barack Obama when the US President arrives at Parliament House next week.

And although he is a hero to much of the progressive left, cardboard ''drones'' and a giant bong will be used to protest against Mr Obama's prosecution of the war in Afghanistan and the war on drugs.
Obama's announcement about installing U.S. Marines in Australia is getting an interesting reception in China:
But one thing is certain - if Australia uses its military bases to help the US harm Chinese interests, then Australia itself will be caught in the crossfire. Australia should at least prevent things from growing out of control.
