Iraqis positive about future: only liberal MSM surprised

Our overwhelmingly liberal press is actually surprised that the view they espouse of the Iraq situation -- that it's a horrible tragedy -- is not shared by Iraqis. Over 60% of Iraqis are optimistic about the future, according to a new poll. This is consistent with most polls taken in Iraq since the fall of Madman Saddam.

So why are liberal news outlets surprised? They are against the war, Shaved Apes, simply because it is led by a Republican named Bush -- or they are anti-war, regardless of what may happen when war is averted (a la Rwanda).

From ABC News; bolding is mine:

An ABC News poll in Iraq, conducted with Time magazine and other media partners, includes some remarkable results: Despite the daily violence there, most living conditions are rated positively, seven in 10 Iraqis say their own lives are going well, and nearly two-thirds expect things to improve in the year ahead.

The phrase, "despite the daily violence," tells volumes. Our various media believe that a bombing per day in a nation of nearly 30 million people has paralyzed them. Any large U.S. city is more violent than all of Iraq, though the violence here is generally conducted in less gruesome, headline-grabbing fashion.

An anology can be seen in California. I've lived in Orange county for five years, having moved from back East. Calee has 30 million people, just like Iraq. Potentially deadly earthquakes occur here every single day. I've felt about four per year, on average. Yet I'm not afraid whatsoever! If the media was completely focused on telling the nation that California is teetering on the edge of destruction as a result of these quakes, the nation may well have a different view of this state.

When will liberal fools wake up?
