I'm not sure what your point is - are you saying that all 3 stories should have equal prominence?
The stories illustrate cultural differences between Arabs and the West. While they're fighting to be Chief Terrorist, we're advancing civilization.
Placement on the page is irrelevant.
It's ironic that you say we're advancing civilisation when we've caused the two other problems - Israel/Palestine and Iraq!
