Belvedere Vodka flap

The Belevedere Vodka ad that appeared on their Facebook page is bad, no other way to say it. The woman in the photo is now suing Belvedere, claiming that her picture was used without her permission. The CEO of the vodka company has apologized. FoxNews story here.

The ad is like the fuzzy sex videos of celebrities that occasionally hit the Web. These are not unauthorized, but a planned publicity stunt. I think the folks at Belevedere planned the whole thing. They knew there would be some negative publicity, and may have considered a lawsuit. But the overall publicity outweighed this. Proof? I had never heard of Belevedere Vodka, but I have now.
