Guardian shows childlike naievete

The Guardian -- the far-left weirdo newspaper of the UK -- has published a new story about the "damning" wikileaks documents. What is so sinister? U.S. negotiators asked the CIA and other governmental departments for information about the people they would be negotiating with. Hello? All countries do this prior to any negotiation. I learned this in a high school political science class.

Seeking negotiating chips, the US state department sent a secret cable on 31 July 2009 seeking human intelligence from UN diplomats across a range of issues, including climate change. The request originated with the CIA. As well as countries' negotiating positions for Copenhagen, diplomats were asked to provide evidence of UN environmental "treaty circumvention" and deals between nations.

There is nothing nefarious about having maximum knowledge of the other side in a negotiation. What kind of weed are the reporters at the Guardian smoking? Maybe they're like most socialist/communist types -- confusing their drug-fueled vision of an ideal world with the world we actually live in?

In the story the Guardian also revealed that they're not a news organization or any sort of journalistic enterprise. They are trying to make the public feel the way they do, rather than inform them, when they state the dangers of global warming as fact. Emphasis mine:

Negotiating a climate treaty is a high-stakes game, not just because of the danger warming poses to civilisation but also because re-engineering the global economy to a low-carbon model will see the flow of billions of dollars redirected.

The statement, "the danger warming poses to civilisation" is not accepted as fact except in far-left circles (socialists and communists). The rest of us have taken the time to read the immense amount of contradictory views submitted by high-level climate scientists. There is no consensus on AGW, nor is there a consensus on its potential dangers -- none whatsoever. The Guardian is well aware of this, as are all reporters. They aren't even trying to inform us any longer, they are engaged in social engineering designed to make the world a socialist utopia.
