1. A Facebook intern has mapped friendship pairs globally. Look at the image. Apparently this is strictly friendships, not friendships overlaid on a map of the world. Though I don't care for Facebook and haven't yet seen a reason to sign up, I can't help but think -- as I look at this map -- that we are becoming a very advanced civilization. Also, the more despotic a country (or region), the fewer Facebook friendships exist.
2. Gmail creator appears to have no faith in Google ChromeOS.
