Misleading headline of the day

From Reuters: Many Americans don't want government to push fast Internet.

Nope. That's not what we're thinking. Government can push it, but not control it or add it to the massive deficit and debt. The people are tired of massive spending projects at the federal level because we can't pay for them. We're also tired of Obama increasing the size and scope of the federal government beyond anything reasonable. And, we're tired of Obama centralizing power at the expense of states.

When are liberals going to figure this stuff out? The role of government, including and especially the federal government, is not only very limited, it's limited for a very good reason. Hello? Is anybody out there? Libbies?

From the story:

Whether it is due to anti-government sentiment, a shifting of priorities in a tough economic environment or the uncertain benefits of the Internet, 53 percent of those surveyed said that expansion should not be attempted by the government or it was not an important priority.

It's not "anti-government sentiment", it's about a federal government that is raging out of control. The kind of power and spending Obama is reaching for is restricted to times of major warfare, on the scale of WWII or the Civil War.
