My humble abode was rattled yesterday at 3:45 p.m. by the Mexicali quake. Nothing fell off the walls because I learned my lesson from the last roller -- I had a professional re-install wall shelves so they wouldn't topple down onto my computer desk. I also prepared myself in accordance with my list from the last time quakes were discussed in Southern California (here).
If Husseincare is Obama's Waterloo, yesterdays' quake was his Katrina. The jiggling lasted about 30 seconds in my area, and at the 35 second mark I was looking up at the cruel sky, wondering why Obama abandoned me. Is it because I'm white? Why didn't he have 400,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches dropping from helicopters? I was hungry. And where was the National Guard? They were fighting Obama's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I was left alone to die while Obama was heralding his troop surge to fight an illegal war for oil. Didn't the Kenyan Marxist promise to "bring our troops home" in about 75 campaign speeches?
I'm thinking about two others things in the wake of the roller:
1) If Obama had signed the Kyoto protocol -- if he really cared about the environment and "global warming" -- this would not have happened.
2) I'm thinking of what Jesse Jackson said about New Orleans after Katrina: Laguna Beach, California 'looks like the hull of a slave ship.'
And here's something that actually happened: I was doing my business on the throne when the first aftershock hit. I just sat there jiggling, and thinking, "If my house collapses while I'm right here, doing this, so be it."
This post was written in accordance with the strange liberal rules for reporting on natural disasters when a Republican is president (i.e. everything bad that happens is the president's fault, personally, because if we say it often enough, people will start to believe it).
And special thanks to Hyram Goldlust for some of the ideas in this post.

first of all.....i hate Obama, he is destroying the constitution and this nation as a whole faster than bush did. but you really need to understand that you calling the wars that America is involved in "Obama's wars" is completely ridiculous! Bush started these wars...Obama is just carrying out Bush's plans. Just like he's carrying out all of Bush's plans to destroy our nation. Obama is not a liberal, and Bush isn't a conservative. they are both controlled by a higher power that is invisible to most Americans because these people are never the focus of popular media attention. if you hate Obama so much, you have no one but America to blame. that includes you, because you are putting out false information and posing as someone who is a patriot when really, you are just choosing the same evil that you are trying to bash. get with it dude!
"Obama is just carrying out Bush's plans"
Indeed he is, in contradiction to over a year of campaigning for the presidency.
"they are both controlled by a higher power that is invisible to most Americans"
I can see the "higher power" you mention, because I am never without my tinfoil hat perched on top of my head. Strange thing, once I started wearing the hat to cancel out the secret "higher power", I started clucking like a chicken and eating paint off the walls.
