It's worth taking a look at what's happening with Ezra Levant in the frozen wastes of Canada. He published the Mohammed cartoons a couple of years ago, and he has been dragged before a "human rights commission" to answer for it. The charade begs the question: does Canada believe in free speech, or free speech only if it doesn't make anybody unhappy?

I'm glad you're supporting Levant. I do, too. Or, rather, it goes back to the Enlightenment period. "I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight for your right to say it." This is lost on many (though not all) Muslims.
Have you ever heard the saying, "The loudest person in the room is the weakest?" Muslims are the loudest people in the world. Only they can make themselves strong. It is not related to some perceived Islam v. West fight. Nor is it related to any action The Snake (Israel) or The Head of the Snake (USA) takes or doesn't take.
When a group of people, and I acknowledge it is a small minority of Muslims in this instance, get mad enough to kill and destroy millions of dollars worth of property because a cartoon is published in a newspaper, it reveals an extreme psychological malaise.
"The loudest person in the room is the weakest" does not apply to real life.

Right now the loudest Muslims in the West are CAIR and their ilk. The seem
to be the strongest, much stronger than any moderate Muslims.
CAIR is loud, but not as loud as folks like Parviz Khan, who made the news yesterday:
"Parviz Khan, 37, of Birmingham, concocted a plot to seize an unnamed British Muslim soldier in the central English city and to kill him "like a pig," prosecutor Nigel Rumfitt said at Leicester Crown Court."

You cannot be serious. Do an Internet search for "CAIR" and "Parviz Khan" and compare results. I can guarantee you that in a week nobody will remember the name "Parviz Khan."
You're right. I acknowledge that. That isn't exactly what I was driving at, though. CAIR certainly dwarfs that lone, warped soul in terms of media attention, etc. I mean that kidnapping and beheading a British soldier is an extremely loud shout: "Look at me, everyone! I'm totally fucked and I blame YOU rather than myself, my leaders, or my religion!"
Maybe you're right. CAIR is loud in the same sense, even if they're not calling for people's heads. They can do infinitely more damage to society (free society) than a single murder(er).
