Clumsy bankrobber gets the cash

Here's an odd one from my neck of the woods. It wasn't me. If I was going to rob a bank it would be with a Jimmy Carter mask.

GRANTVILLE – A bumbling gunman wearing a Ronald Reagan mask and a cape held up a Bank of America at Mission Gorge and Friars roads yesterday morning.

The robber walked into the bank branch just after 10 a.m. with the mask covering his face, San Diego police said.

However, he had some sort of “difficulty” with his cape and dropped his gun. He then picked it up and robbed one of the tellers, police said.

He ran out of the bank and got into a stolen, dark-colored Chevrolet Suburban, which police said crashed into two trucks as the robber made his getaway.
