Cana-duh looks right

Canadians, apparently tired of corruption scandals, or just ready for a change, ousted the ruling liberals in favor of conservatives. This will probably bode well for U.S.-Cana-duh relations. I have so little faith in anything Canadian, except Molson, Labatt's Blue, and perhaps the ISS's Canadarm, that I'm doubtful a Canada lacking its French-socialist majority will be any boon. We'll have to see.

From the BBC:

"Tonight, friends, our great country has voted for change," (Canada's prime minister-elect Stephen Harper) said.

He pledged an immediate 1% cut in national sales tax, a new vigour in fighting crime and gang violence, and a re-evaluation of relations with Washington, which have become strained in recent years.

Perhaps the best one can say about Canada's elections is that Michael Moore failed, once again, to swing an election toward the left. And to think Moore used to be funny. He and Sean Pean (mean weight 300 lbs) should make a film together where a failed socialist actor and his failed socialist director hang themselves in a dank, Mexican hotel room. I'd pay to see that, especially if it was based on a true story.
