Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper continues the downward spiral with misdemeanor charges in the Sex Cruise Scandal. Three other Vikings were also charged.
Mammoth passer Culpepper -- big as a linebacker -- was billed as the prototype for a new generation of quarterbacks. He's a great passer when the ball actually lands in friendly hands, and he runs through defenders with ease. But he never lived up to his potential. That, or the coaching and the rest of the team weren't up to the job.
It's unfortunate that Culpepper won't be the man to lead the team to its first Super Bowl.
