Iran is history

Remember the WWII mantra: never forget? America redefined that, for itself, after 9/11. We'll never forget that rogue regimes, islamic radicals, and other scumbags can't be allowed to possess weapons of mass destruction. The price is too high.

This is why I predict that Iran will get smashed sooner or later. I really can't believe that, after 9/11, the Iranian government doesn't understand what it's bringing on itself. Of course, our little Obama will only Phil Donahue the problem (open a line of dialogue), but eventually we'll have a real leader in office.

I have two hopes for Iran's future: 1) Israel takes care of the problem before we have to, and 2) if we're forced to do this, we don't make the same mistakes we made in Iraq -- we go in, remove WMD and kill anyone who tries to stop us, then leave. The Stone Age people who live there can rebuild their own country.

Moronic GOP

Putting party politics above the good of the country is something that 99.9% of all Washington politicians have in common. The latest example is the GOP griping about Hussein's visit to Denmark to try to win the Olympics for Chicago. This disingenuous blather is similar to the Dems complaining about Bush taking a vacation while a war is on. From the Boston Liberal Globe:

But Republican party chief Michael Steele told reporters yesterday that while “a noble idea,’’ Obama has too much on his plate for a personal Olympics pitch.

As usual, a politician -- Steele in this case -- is either stupid or lying. Which is it?

Liberal media bias

The New Liberal Times has an interesting article discussing its own coverage of the Acorn scandal, and whether it reveals political bias at The Times. Everyone with an IQ above 4 knows that the NYT is a left wing mouthpiece, plain and simple. They need to publicly deny this, lest their paltry readership shrinks even further.

One thing caught my eye, and I'll add it to a long list of items serving as clear proof of lefty media bias across the USA:

Tom Rosenstiel, the director of the Pew Project for Excellence in Journalism, said he has studied journalists for years, and though they are more liberal than the general population, he believes they are motivated by the desire to get good stories, not to help one particular side. Conservatives who believe The Times isn’t critical of Democrats forget that the paper broke damaging stories about the personal finances of Representative Charles Rangel and the hiring of prostitutes by Eliot Spitzer.

But Rosenstiel said The Times has a particular problem with conservatives, especially after its article last year suggesting that John McCain had an extramarital affair. And Republicans earlier this year charged that the paper killed a story about Acorn that would have been a “game changer” in the presidential election — a claim I found to be false.

“If you know you are a target, it requires extra vigilance,” Rosenstiel said. “Even the suspicion of a bias is a problem all by itself.”

Dan Rather gets dose of reality

Why can't Dan Rather figure this out? His suit against CBS was thrown out, and he plans to keep fighting. This moronic loser got caught showing his true self -- a tool of the Democratic party -- and got tossed out on his ass. He should let it go. LA Times article here.

Child rapist Polanski arrested

My first reaction: a man who raped a child and then fled justice is finally going to be put away. Excellent. After doing a lot of reading, it seems there may be something to his fleeing a "judicial lynching." The judge in question, from 30 years ago, is dead now, so we should bring him back and let the process work, for good or evil.

I've also read the comments by France's cultural minister, and what a twat this guy is. He typifies European weakness, which is misplaced compassion (socialism). Here's what he said, via Variety:

"Seeing (Polanski) alone, imprisoned while he was heading to an event that was due to offer him praise and recognition is awful," he said. "He was trapped. In the same way that there is a generous America that we like, there is also a scary America, and that has just shown its face."

My respect for France just went down a notch, if that's possible. It's "scary" to want a child rapist to face justice in a court of law?

Another interesting aspect of this case is the media coverage. As expected, the media is sensationalizing it, choosing to sell their product rather than tell the truth. For instance, headlines all across the web says Europeans are angry, led by letters written by French and Polish officials. Kudos to the LA times for mentioning "cheers and jeers":

Yet test the mood beyond the entertainment industry and sympathy for Polanski is far less forthcoming. In an online poll in the French daily Le Figaro, more than 70% of nearly 29,500 respondents said Polanski should face justice for his alleged crimes. And in Zurich, where police arrested Polanski at the request of Los Angeles authorities when he arrived to headline a film festival, 40-year-old Maja Tanner applauded the arrest.

So, my respect for France went back to where it was (slightly above zero), because it's only their cultural minister, apparently, who wants Polanski to go free. The French people are right -- Polanski needs to be brought back to face justice, and if there were, or are, bad judges or other characters involved, then we need to find them out and level charges at them, as well. Nobody gets away with anything.

I believe a child rapist should get life in prison, with no parole option, on the first offense. These scumbags should be permanently removed from society, regardless of how many Oscars they have on the mantle. Fuck 'em.

Gitmo detainees going to the Lincoln Bedroom

Hussein is getting ready to announce a new location for the inhuman scum at GTMO, according to Fox News. I know where the Kenyan Marxist can put them: the Lincoln Bedroom. Michelle can go in and say hello when she's sober.

Oliver Stone defends banana republics

Stone, a far-left whackjob who happens to make watchable films now and then, is coming out with a documentary supporting Latin American dictators and failed socialist regimes. Reuters:

The expressed view of the fraternal leaders is that they want independence and equality, and freedom from the International Monetary Fund and U.S. economic control. They all see in President Barack Obama the opportunity for lasting, mutually beneficial change. Stone is clearly impressed with the leaders he meets, and there are many relaxed scenes, including one in which he gets a great kick out of Bolivian leader Evo Morales showing him the best coca leaves to chew, a benign cure for the nauseous effects of the altitude in La Paz.

Of course they see Hussein as "the opportunity for lasting, mutually beneficial change." They're all communists. After all, socialism is just communism made palatable for Europeans, and liberalism is communism made palatable for Americans. They're all collectivists, so it's only natural they'd defend one another.

Obama's minions

Yet another questionable character chosen by Obama has been fully revealed. WaPo has the story here.

White House officials offered tepid support Friday for Van Jones, the administration's embattled energy efficiency guru, who has issued two public apologies this week, one for signing a petition that questioned whether Bush administration officials "may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war."

How many people in Obama's inner circle are a) communist, b) haters of America, c) racist, d) incompetent, e) tax cheats, or f) all of the above?

Does anyone have a list of these disgusting scumbags our new president surrounds himself with? If I wasn't so lazy, I'd do a bit of research and post a list here. As it is, I need somebody to just tell me where to find the info.

How to handle despotic regimes

This Reuters story is about how NATO is trying to soothe the anger of Afghanis after an air strike killed some civilians. It makes me wonder why we bother rebuilding countries. The lesson I've learned after Iraq and Afghanistan is that after a rogue regime makes it clear they need to be removed, we should do it with airpower, then forget about them. When new scumbags arise, repeat.

We don't need to waste billions of dollars and a lot of lives forcing people to live modern (free) lives. It's not our responsibility.
