In the movie "Casino", Joe Pesci's character said they arrived in Vegas and promptly "fucked it all up." As I and countless others predicted, Palestinians -- indoctrinated into believing "martydom" and related terrorist activities actually help their cause -- are completely fucking up their tennancy of Gaza.
What really happened when Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza? Rockets were fired further into Israel. Plus other acts of terror ensued.
Today, according to AP: GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Palestinian policemen went on a rampage over the killing of a colleague and seized the Gaza-Egypt border crossing for several hours Friday, forcing European monitors to flee in the latest sign of growing mayhem in the coastal strip.
Yes. We knew this would happen.

Domestic spying leak investigation
The Justice Department is seeking the person or persons who leaked sensitive information to the New York Times. Excellent. The liberals and their MSM aren't going to stand between the people and our security.
I don't recall any Democrat senators, or liberals, or the New York Times, getting upset about NSA surveillance during Jimmuh Cahtuh's administration, or during Bubba Clinton's. Christ almighty, get W into office, and they all develop highly selective amnesia -- as with social security and the threat posed by Saddam Hussein. All kinds of great ideas turned into bad ones when a Republican became president.
Bush is no angel. I'm no Republican. But this liberal hoo-hah nonsense needs to end. Bunch of hateful cowards.

10 worst Americans
Atlas Shrugs has a very interesting list of the 100 worst Americans in history. He missed one, though. My neighbor! His booming hip-hop starts at 6:30 a.m., somehow he has tied up the laundry machines 24/7, and he introduced cockroaches to the building.

Liberals exposed in 2005
Mainstream media people, like CNN's Jack Cafferty and Jeffrey Toobin, Newsweek's Jonathan Alter, and others, uttered a lot of biased nonsense in 2005. Entertainers and others have done the same. The Media Research Center has the best anti-conservative and anti-Bush outbursts from MSM. The quotes are in written form and available as audio downloads (downloads weren't working for me). Via Drudge.
The leadership of the Republican Party are a bunch of sociopathic maniacs who have their lips super-glued to the ass of the conservative right." --Alec Baldwin
Referring to Tom DeLay: "...it’s the first time in 200 years that the House of Representatives has been run for a whole decade, or almost a decade, by a corrupt zealot." --Jonathan Alter, senior editor, Newsweek
Brian Williams, of NBC, defending terrorists: "Someone brought up today the first several U.S. Presidents were certainly revolutionaries and might have been called terrorists at the time by the British Crown, after all."
This is insane:
Ted Turner: "I am absolutely convinced that the North Koreans are absolutely sincere. There’s really no reason for them to cheat [on nukes]....I looked them right in the eyes. And they looked like they meant the truth. You know, just because somebody’s done something wrong in the past doesn’t mean they can’t do right in the future or the present. That happens all the, all the time."
Wolf Blitzer: "But this is one of the most despotic regimes and Kim Jong-Il is one of the worst men on Earth. Isn’t that a fair assessment?"
Turner: "Well, I didn’t get to meet him, but he didn’t look — in the pictures that I’ve seen of him on CNN, he didn’t look too much different than most other people."
Blitzer: "But, look at the way, look at the way he’s, look at the way he’s treating his own people."
Turner: "Well, hey, listen. I saw a lot of people over there. They were thin and they were riding bicycles instead of driving in cars, but–"
Blitzer: "A lot of those people are starving."
Turner: "I didn’t see any, I didn’t see any brutality...."

Stealing digital property

I’m tempted to pity little Patricia Santangelo, a divorced mother of five trying to fight off a law suit by the enormous music recording industry. After reading several articles about her, I am firmly on the side of the music industry. The bottom line on illegal downloads: they’re illegal.
The reason I was tempted to pity Patricia Santangelo was the wording in the news stories. They’re all written to generate maximum sympathy for downloaders. Here are some tear-inducing examples:
It was Easter Sunday, and Patricia Santangelo was in church with her kids when she says the music recording industry peeked into her computer and decided to take her to court.
…Santangelo thinks it may have been the work of a young friend of her children. Santangelo, 43, has been described by a federal judge as "an Internet-illiterate parent, who does not know Kazaa from kazoo, and who can barely retrieve her email.’
The drain on her resources to fight the case — she's divorced, has five children aged 7 to 19 and works as a property manager for a real estate company — forced her this month to drop her lawyer and begin representing herself.
Santangelo quote: "I'm out $24,000 and we haven't even gone to trial."
Santangelo’s former lawyer: “[The plaintiff doesn’t] know how the files appeared on her computer or who put them there."
Somebody downloaded files to Patricia Santangelo's computer, but she has no knowledge of it, so it's okay? If music CDs (physical discs) had been stolen from a mall and ended up in Patricia Santangelo’s house, would we have all these media stories about David vs. Goliath? Would we be hearing exclusively the side of poor, poor Patricia who doesn't know Kazaa from Kalamazoo?
Here is the contrasting reality: Patricia Santangelo is responsible for anything downloaded via an internet connection she leases (rents, owns, etc.) per the agreement she has with her ISP – unless the connection was hijacked by a third party (i.e. hacking, which would be like finding out your car has been stolen and was used in the commission of a bank robbery).
Patricia Santangelo will probably get justice in this case. It won't be what she's expecting.

Spielberg's "Munich"
The Extra Testicle's new movie, "Munich", is examined by The Religion of Peace blog:
Quite frankly, a Hollywood movie that criticizes Jews who kill Muslims who kill Jews could only be made by either a Muslim or a Jew.
Man legally changes name to Jesus Christ
The burning question: Does his middle name start with H? Story here.
Memory lane thanks to PC World
PC World magazine has published its 50 Greatest Gadgets list, and for me it was a nice little walk down memory lane. Born in the 1960s, I or my uncles had many of the things on the list.
Particularly memorable for me:
The completely useless Timex Sinclair computer (I remember hand-typing BAM, an idiotic little BASIC program that shifted the screen), Atari 2600 video game system, early LED wristwatch, Sony Walkman, Speak & Spell, Commodore 64.
PC World missed the venerable Pocket Pussy. I know you had one.

Barbarians at the gate
Note that the following is Muslim / Arab culture, not a one-off tragedy:
MULTAN, Pakistan - A father, angry that his eldest daughter had married against his wishes, slit her throat as she slept and then killed three of his other daughters in a remote village in eastern Pakistan, police said Saturday.
Nazir Ahmad, a laborer in his 40s, feared the younger girls, aged 4, 8, and 12, would follow in their sister's footsteps, police officer Shahzad Gul said.

WMDs used in Iraq genocide
In a ruling in The Hague, Saddam Hussein's use of WMD constituted genocide against Iraqi Kurds. Genocide? WMD? Liberals must be covering their ears and eyes today. Saddam Hussein had WMD? You mean Bush didn't lie? 'Bush lies, people die' may have to be changed to 'Saddam Hussein really did have the fucking weapons we all knew he did.'
From the BBC; bolding is mine:
It's interesting to note that The Hague and these other international courts operate similarly to the UN and the Nobel committees -- bashing the US is on the agenda.
From the BBC; bolding is mine:
According to the 1948 Geneva Convention, genocide is defined as "acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group".
The Dutch court said it considered "legally and convincingly proven that the Kurdish population meets requirement under Genocide Conventions as an ethnic group".
"The court has no other conclusion than that these attacks were committed with the intent to destroy the Kurdish population of Iraq," the ruling said.

Woody Allen's paedophilia
Have you noticed that as Woody Allen ages, his women are getting younger? With his new movie, Match Point, opening in New York and Los Angeles on Dec. 28, it's time to chronicle Woody's downward spiral into paedophilia:

Mexico is a pathetic cesspool
From ABC News; bolding is mind:
We all know what's going on here. Mexico and U.S. liberals want anyone to be able to run across the border. Sensible people do not. Let's shut down that fuckin' border now. Legals are welcome. Illegals can stay away.
The bill, which passed on Friday with a 239-182 vote, would make illegal entry [into the U.S.] a felony, and enlist military and local police to help stop illegal entrants.
But officials of Mexico's federal Human Rights Commission acknowledged that Mexico already employs both tactics in its own territory.

ANWR
Somebody has made a mathematical analogy for the drilling in ANWR. The wildlife refuge is roughly the size of South Carolina. The area to be used from drilling is the size of Dulles airport.
What is the goddamned problem?
Drill, by all means. The caribou can run to the overwhelmingly large area that will remain untouched. We should be drilling for oil everywhere we find it. And we should be developing technology to get us the fuck off of oil altogether.

Global warming nothing new

Shaved Apes, listen up. Today's Scientific American newsletter arrived in my inbox. In the newsletter was a story about stone tools affecting the occupation of Northern Europe over 700,000 years ago. Never mind that right wing Christians deny that humans had been lovingly created by their immortal, benevolent deity at that time in history.
There's an interesting line in the story that should have an affect on liberals. It has little to do with the subject of the article, but it has something for "global warming" enthusiasts.
From Scientific American; bolding is mine:
But 700,000 years ago, the bottoms of those cliffs were riverbeds draining an England that was merely a peninsula of a much warmer Europe populated by elephants, bison and even hippopotamuses.
Seriously, the earth was warmer 700,000 years ago, then it cooled down. It probably went through this warming-cooling cycle many times. None of it had anything to do with humans. If CNN or the socialist little countries in Europe have spooked you, PULL YOUR FUCKING GODAMNED HEAD OUT OF YOUR PUCKERED ASSHOLE NOW!!
Oh, and, hey, the overall story about the stone tools and early humans was good, even without getting worked up about exposing liberal nonsense. Check it out.

News gems Dec. 20, 2005
No "intelligent design" for biology classes in one Pennsylvania school district. Thank god. The crux of the idiocy represented by "intelligent design" is this: The world is so complex that it must have been created by somebody (god's, of course). Teaching this giant leap of faith in a science classroom is misguided. (News story here.)
NYC commuters fucked, just in time for Christmas. Thank the union for wrecking Christmas for millions of commuters. The union struck now instead of after the holidays to cause the most problems for New Yorkers. I sincerely hope that every single striking worker is fired unceremoniously and replaced with someone who recognizes that the one job benefit outweighing all others is the job itself. (News story here.)
Baby penguin swiped from British zoo. Too bad eBay halted its plan to host the selling of live pets. Well, one hooligan will wake up this morning knowing something the rest of us do not: Do baby penguins, or do they not, taste like chicken. (News story here.)
Iraq's Sunnis cut from same cloth as U.S. liberals. Upon learning they didn't get what they wanted in the recent elections, Sunnis claim fraud. Sound familiar? (News story here.)
Barbie dolls often mutilated by girls. This may explain why most adult serial killers and related psychopaths are men. The girls get out their angst early on. (News story here.)
Stalin wanted to create Tolkien-style Orcs. Old Joe was a very bad dude. And to think American liberals and their communist kin once thought communism was A-OK. Where's Jane Fonda? She wanted these types of commies to rule Vietnam. (News story here.)
LA Times outs NY Times over timing of American spying story. Here's the first line of the LA Times piece: "The New York Times, which knew about the secret wiretaps for more than a year, published because of a reporter's new book, sources say." I'd call it a must read. (News story here.)
Also, read this chronicle of how the NY Times changed its mind about Saddam Hussein, WMD, and whether or not UN approval was necessary to wage war -- when a Republican became president.

Charges in Vikings sex cruise
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper continues the downward spiral with misdemeanor charges in the Sex Cruise Scandal. Three other Vikings were also charged.
Mammoth passer Culpepper -- big as a linebacker -- was billed as the prototype for a new generation of quarterbacks. He's a great passer when the ball actually lands in friendly hands, and he runs through defenders with ease. But he never lived up to his potential. That, or the coaching and the rest of the team weren't up to the job.
It's unfortunate that Culpepper won't be the man to lead the team to its first Super Bowl.

Nuclear power plant explosion
There was an explosion at a Russian nuclear power plant yesterday that left one person dead. Russia says there's no radiation leakage. We all know that government coverups and outright lying didn't change with the shift to democracy over there. I'll wait to see what my government says about radiation.
Iraq: liberals confounded
Last week a poll of the Iraqi people showed that more than 60% feel positive about the future. Close on the heels of that news, yesterday’s parliamentary elections drew more than 70% of the population. The list of the confounded this morning is very, very long indeed:
Chuck Schumer
Ted “I’ll have another” Kennedy
Nancy Pelosi
Howard Dean
Barbara Boxer
John Kerry
Cindy Sheehan
Michael Moore
CNN
The Guardian
(and other liberal cowards)
So, are these liberals and liberal institutions starting to understand the situation on the ground in Iraq -- that it's not all bombings and terror? Or do they understand, and simply stand against the Iraqi people because GWB is standing with them? It's peculiar and sad, whichever turns out to be true.

Fuck Wikipedia
Update: A news story now says Wiki is as reliable as Britannica. Bullshit. No, it's Class A Bullshit. Story here.
"Wikipedia" may be the dumbest idea I have ever heard of. I’ve been ignoring this "encyclopedia" because I keep hearing that anyone can input data. So today I went to Wiki and confirmed this. The following appears on the Wiki front page: “Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit.”
Why in hell would I want to use an encyclopedia that “anyone can edit”?
As a simple test (and I realize that most of you Wiki fans know all of this), I searched for terrorism. Under “Responses to terrorism”, I edited the first few sentences.
I clicked “Edit”, and then “Save Page” when I was finished. Here is the modified text:
"Responses to terrorism are broad in scope. They can include eating peanut butter sandwiches, and candied yams. The term counter-terrorism has a narrower connotation, implying that it is directed at terrorist sandwich eaters."
I went back to the Wiki front page and again searched for “terrorism”, and then clicked on Section 5, “Tactics”. Under “Responses to terrorism,” there was my bullshit text.

What a fucking joke.
I’ve never used Wiki before today, and I never will again. How could anyone trust this garbage? Are you going to trust someone to review the terrorism pages and fix them? Other encyclopedias are edited by scholars, historians, professional researchers, and the like. There is a rigid vetting process. Wiki is edited by who? The Shaved Apes.
Stop using Wiki, fools.

Vicente Fox and the Great Wall
I really don't like resorting to name calling, but I've got to once again. Fuck you, Vicente Fox. Your impoverished little nation of barbarians doesn't impress me. Yes, "barbarians" is a very challenging word. But, when people are better off picking fucking lettuce illegally in another country than getting a job and making a living in their own country, what do you want me to call it?
The U.S. is finally going to seal the border to illegal immigration, something long overdue. A small portion of fence is going to be fortified, unless Democrats find a way to block it, and Vicente Fox calls it "disgraceful and shameful."
Well, assmaggott, it is disgraceful and shameful that your government is so corrupt it cannot solve Mexico's economic problems. You should be disgraced and shamed that your people are willing to risk an illegal and dangerous crossing in one of the hottest deserts on earth just to get a fucking job.
Fuck off, pathetic piece of shit -- Fox.

Iraqis positive about future: only liberal MSM surprised
Our overwhelmingly liberal press is actually surprised that the view they espouse of the Iraq situation -- that it's a horrible tragedy -- is not shared by Iraqis. Over 60% of Iraqis are optimistic about the future, according to a new poll. This is consistent with most polls taken in Iraq since the fall of Madman Saddam.
So why are liberal news outlets surprised? They are against the war, Shaved Apes, simply because it is led by a Republican named Bush -- or they are anti-war, regardless of what may happen when war is averted (a la Rwanda).
From ABC News; bolding is mine:
An anology can be seen in California. I've lived in Orange county for five years, having moved from back East. Calee has 30 million people, just like Iraq. Potentially deadly earthquakes occur here every single day. I've felt about four per year, on average. Yet I'm not afraid whatsoever! If the media was completely focused on telling the nation that California is teetering on the edge of destruction as a result of these quakes, the nation may well have a different view of this state.
When will liberal fools wake up?

An ABC News poll in Iraq, conducted with Time magazine and other media partners, includes some remarkable results: Despite the daily violence there, most living conditions are rated positively, seven in 10 Iraqis say their own lives are going well, and nearly two-thirds expect things to improve in the year ahead.

Who do you blame for the 1st WTC bombing?
This is infuriating and scary at the same time. I lifted the following verbatim from Overlawyered; bolding is mine.
Update: Port Authority seeks voiding of WTC verdict
A few weeks ago (see Oct. 27, Oct. 29) a jury decided to hold the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey 68 percent to blame for the first World Trade Center bombing, and the terrorists themselves only 32 percent responsible. Now the authority has filed court papers declaring that the verdict "shocks the conscience" and urging that it be set aside. According to the motion, the outcome in the case "stemmed directly from the court's jury instructions and verdict sheet interrogatories that violated the Port Authority's fundamental right to a fair trial." The authority also faults Judge Nicholas Figueroa for "banning testimony from terrorism experts called by the authority," and for asserting that he would be justified in overturning a defense verdict should the jury return one. (Anemona Hartocollis, "Port Authority Seeks Voiding of Jury Verdict", New York Times, Dec. 7). Andy MacCarthy has a comment at National Review Online.

Craziness in Canada, Iran
The foam continues to drip from the mouth of Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad, Iran’s nutjob “president”. From Financial Times:
John Lennon’s death celebrated. I was listening to a Minnesota Twins game on my little AM radio when the broadcast was interrupted by the breaking news of Lennon's death. Born in the 1960s, I was too young for Beatle Mania, but I grew up in the 1970s listening to my mom's extensive collection of LPs. I knew the lyrics to Helter Skelter by heart when I was 10. Actually, that may explain a lot. So, I was really shocked to hear of John's death. (News story here.)
The anniversary of Lennon’s death is a good time to remember that Yoko's bitchiness in the studio, along with John's use of heroine, caused the Beatles breakup.
Australia to extend Iraq mission. Good. (News story here.)
The Earth's magnetic pole is drifting. Will Germany’s foreign minister blame this on Bush? Will The Guardian claim the phenomenon is just, considering the horrible atrocity Bush and Blair inflicted on bloodthirsty terrorists holed up in Fallujah? Will al-Reuters subtly insinuate that if the Jews had been more even-handed in their treatment of the poor Palestinians, the magnetic pole may not have shifted as much? (News story here.)
Saddam co-conspirator complains about detainment during his war crimes trial. Holy fucking Christ. First we had GTMO detainees whining about air conditioning being too cold (in Cuba in August). Now Ibrahim al-Tikriti is bitching about only getting six cigarettes per day, and they’re not even good brands. Boo hoo! What did this guy do to people he incarcerated? Can you say M-I-N-C-I-N-G M-A-C-H-I-N-E-S? All together now: mincing machines, where people were literally butchered like fattened hogs – while alive.
From al-Reuters:
Mr Ahmadi-Nejad said Europe had supported the creation of Israel in 1947-8, when thousands of Palestinians were uprooted, as a reaction to the Nazis' killing of Jews. "If the Europeans are honest, they should give some of their provinces - like in Germany, Austria or other countries - to the Zionists... [for] a state," he said.
Mr Ahmadi-Nejad won a landslide election victory in June on a platform of redistributing wealth and returning to the ideals of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, whose leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini called Israel a "cancerous gland".
"That was a big mistake," said the delegate, speaking on condition of anonymity Thursday. He said the U.S. delegation, which is directed from Washington by Vice-President Dick Cheney, was deeply angered by Martin's comments.
In his comments Wednesday, Martin called on all nations to join the global effort to fight climate change, adding: "To the reticent nations, including the United States, I say there is such a thing as a global conscience, and now is the time to listen to it."

Can you say M-I-N-C-I-N-G M-A-C-H-I-N-E-S? All together now: mincing machines, where people were literally butchered like fattened hogs – while alive.
From al-Reuters:
"We were detained by one of the wealthiest countries in the world, yet it was only after four months in detention that they gave me cigarettes," said Barzan, charged with crimes against humanity.
"And then they were of the worst quality in the world."

Hangman's comin', "Tookie"
The Governator is mulling the life and death of Stan Williams, the convicted killer set to be put down by lethal injection Dec. 13. Stan founded the Crips gang. If there was anyone ever deserving capital punishment, this is the guy. We've already wasted millions in taxpayer money on an absurdly long appeals process, so let's pull the plug on this worthless bastard.
NPR this morning covered the story by playing soundbytes of children saying they have read the murderer's books and "would be dealing drugs" if not for the books.
NPR has taken sides. When are we going to hear the families of the people he murdered? Well, NPR, we're waiting.

The hangman's comin', "Tookie." No kids' books will save you, no pot-smoking rapper from LA will save you -- only Arnold can save you, and I hope he doesn't.

Another Nobel crackpot
For the last 10 years, just bash the U.S. to get a Nobel prize. The Nobel institution has become a political game, just like the UN. As with the UN, we needn't pay any attention to the idiocy going on with the communists, socialists, and liberals fucking around with Nobel prizing.
The latest pile of dog shit is this year's winner of the prize for literature. His name is Pinter.
One interesting quote from the guy: "But Bush has been clever," Pinter said. "He has not ratified the International Criminal Court of Justice."
Hey, assmaggott, we're not joining international groups any longer precisely because of why you received the Nobel Prize this year. What a friggin idiot. It's the same reason we sent Bolton to the UN. These international groups are completely fucked and useless (how many times will Qadaffi and Castro be re-elected to the UN Human Rights Commission before the world finally wakes up?).

Wikipedia, military recuiting on campus, and other news gems
Why I don’t use Wikipedia. Short Answer: anyone can contribute. Long Answer: here.
The problem with “Latin” America. First, I can’t call South Americans “Latin” because there isn’t a Latin soul on the entire continent. Latin means Roman – Latin speech, Latin customs, etc. South and Central America are not “Latin” in any sense of the word. The Brazilians are a combination of native stock, Portugese, and a small percentage of immigrants from other areas. No Latin whatsoever. The rest of the continent is a mix of native stock and Spaniards, plus a small percentage of immigrants. No Latins to be found.
The problem with South America can be seen in this microcosm: a candidate for mayor in Brazil was brought up on charges of moving 1100 lbs. of cocaine. (Story here.)
Supreme Court hears case of military recruiting on campus. General info from OpinionJournal:
Only a liberal would think a military lacking allegedly educated people (i.e. college grads) is a good idea. You see, liberals fell into a trap circa 1990. They mistakenly thought that when the old Soviet Empire collapsed, there would be no more wars. It’s idiocy in its purest form. A weak U.S. military (or absent, if liberals get their way) would be the end of America. Could liberals really want an end to this country?
It was, after all, the post-USSR era that saw 800,000 dead in Rwanda, the Bosnian war, the Gulf War, and many conflicts in Africa. Presently Iran and North Korea are acting like children heading for a spanking. I wonder where the misguided notion that humanity is now calm and modernized comes from. It is likely idealism mistaken for reality – a very common problem with liberals, socialists, and communists.
Plato saw matters clearly: “Only the dead have seen the end of war.”

Tomorrow the Supreme Court will hear FAIR v. Rumsfeld, an appeal from a 2-1 decision by the Third U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals holding that it is unconstitutional for the federal government to condition its funding to universities on military recruiters being afforded equal access to students. The case arises out of an attack on the Solomon Amendment, enacted by Congress in 1994 and signed into law by President Clinton, which mandates that federal funds be withheld from any university in which any part (for example, a law school) denies military recruiters that access.
Although recognizing the general right of the government to condition its funding, the Court of Appeals struck down the Solomon Amendment on the ground that it violates the universities' academic freedom not to appear to endorse the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy regarding gays in the military. This conclusion makes no sense. All that the government asks is that students who wish to hear a military recruiter's message have the same access as students do to hear other recruiters' messages.

Missiles to Iran, cats, and other news goodies
Russia and Iran have inked a deal providing the idiot Iranians with 29 mobile air defense systems. At first I was angry about this, but on second thought, it could prove to be a good move. It will give our squadrons of stealth aircraft something to do when the time comes.
The Moscow Times online put the story in the A1 slot.
A Muslim suicide bomber detonated himself at an Israeli mall, killing five, plus one cockroach. If I was an Israeli, I’d want revenge, even if it somehow meant the world press tried to call it a “cycle of violence.” I remember what it was like under Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, where kidnappings and killings of Americans at the hands of these cockroaches went unchallenged. Never again, I say. (Story here.)
Muhammed Ali not a good man? Daniel Pipes, a scholar and critic of Islam (that's a poor description, but hey! this is just another blog), has written a couple of articles lambasting the former heavy weight champ. I snagged this list from Pipes's website.
+ Ali knowingly betrayed Malcolm X, a betrayal that led at least indirectly to Malcolm's assassination.
+ Ali publicly turned his back on his press secretary, Leon 4X Ameer, which led to Ameer's death.
+ When Nation of Islam activists executed five friends and family of the Hanafi sect—four of them children—Ali did not quit the Nation or even publicly protest. Nor did the media ask him to.
+ For at least four years running Ali publicly degraded Joe Frazier, often along the crudest racial lines. "There's a great honor about Joe," says baseball great Reggie Jackson. "That was evident in the way he fought. And Muhammad ridiculed Joe; he humiliated him in front of the world."
+ Ali also verbally and physically abused Floyd Patterson and Ernie Terrell, two men who did not deserve it.
+ Ali was an unapologetic sexist. "In the Islamic world," he told Playboy, "the man's the boss, and the woman stays in the background. She don't want to call the shots." He wrote this in 1975, three years into the doomed struggle to pass the Equal Rights Amendment. Feminists still wrestle over this one.
+ While the black family was under assault, with its rate of unwed births nearly tripling during these fifteen years, Ali was fathering children out of wedlock with at least one teenage girl.
+ He also was about to leave four of his children without a father in the home after rejecting their Muslim mother for a more glamorous, only marginally black eighteen year-old.
+ Belinda Ali was the second wife he had publicly humiliated. Sonji was the first.
+ Ali remained an unabashed racist, calling for an American apartheid and the lynching of interracial couples as late as 1975.
+ In the years that mattered, Ali drove a wedge between the races. This may not have been evident to the cultural elite, but anyone who had been at Gary or like venues would know exactly what I mean.
+ He routinely denigrated black heroes who did not share his point of view, Joe Louis, Jackie Robinson, and Thurgood Marshall among them.
+ He continuously belittled and undermined Christianity, a bedrock of cultural stability in black America.
+ Ali shamelessly courted some of the most brutal dictators on the planet: Qaddafi, Idi Amin, Papa Doc Duvalier, Nkrumah, Mobutu, Marcos.
+ One of those dictators, Mobutu Sese Seko Nkuku Wa Za Banga, was complicit in the death of the black nationalist hero, Patrice Lumumba.
+ Ali helped launch the career of Don King.
+ And, oh yes, he rejected his country in its hour of need and expressed no regret at the fate of those millions we all abandoned. The man who compelled him to do so had conspired with the Japanese and cheered them on at Pearl Harbor.
Palestinian Authority claims Arafat poisoned with U.S. approval. On Nov. 17, 2005, the Palestinian Authority addressed the Palestinians, saying an investigation into Arafat's death need not continue, because they know he was poisoned.
Why, oh why do we give any money or credence to this would-be nation of barbarians? I'm getting more and more angry that my tax money goes into the pockets of Palestinians. I say give them their state quickly, and if the terrorism continues (and we all know it will), then we crush them into dust and be done with their kind once and for all.
Spielberg's new film, "Munich." Drudge has highlights of a Time Magazine article with Spielberg. It's supposedly a tribute to the Israeli athletes murdered by Muslims during the 1972 Olympics in Munich. Speeley said he doesn't think any book or movie can break the stalemate in the Middle East, "but it's worth a try."
We've come so far since 1972: Achille Lauro, Beirut bombings, World Trace Center I & II, USS Cole, 9/11, and countless other examples of brutal murders at the hands of Muslims.
Only the frogs would come up with this. A new, official sign beside a statue in a cemetery reads: "Any damage caused by graffiti or indecent rubbing will be prosecuted."
Cat survives four weeks without food or water. I found this story via Drudge. Four weeks! These are amazing little creatures. A few years ago a cat went off the top of the Coronado-San Diego Bay Bridge, plunging down into the bay's cool waters. The Coast Guard and fire department rescued the thing from the water. He was fine. A fireman said he'd adopt the critter if nobody claimed him. To see a live video shot of the Coronado Bridge, go here.

Saddam Hussein's trial heats up
Saddam Hussein, the man who used weapons of mass destruction against military and civilian targets, the man who accumulated more than 70 mass graves in 24 years, is going down. The first witness against him has begun testifying, and it's harrowing.
From BBC:
And because no WMDs were found in Iraq, that makes Bush some kind of devil? I'll never look at a liberal the same way again. They'd rather have a monstrosity like Saddam Hussein terrorizing an entire nation than fight a small war -- and it is very small compared to most of our other wars, such as the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.
Get real, liberals. Nailing Hussein was worth the cost, which so far has been miniscule by any meaningful comparison.
From BBC:
He was beaten, tortured and himself saw the infamous mincing machine into which entire human bodies were fed, sometimes alive.
After being tortured or beaten, women prisoners gave birth to dead babies, whose bodies were thrown into the common courtyard and left there. Children were tortured in front of their parents, parents in front of their children.
But as ever, Saddam himself had the best line of the day so far. When his lawyers threatened to boycott the court and a recess was called, he shouted: "Why don't you just execute us?"
- "I swear by God I walked by a room and on my left I saw a grinder with blood coming out of it and human hair underneath," said 38-year-old Ahmed Hassan, who said he had been kept in room 63 at the Hakmiya intelligence headquarters in Baghdad.

Adopt-a-detainee program
I missed the "adopt-a-detainee" program! It's now closed. I would have enjoyed adopting a terrorist and kicking his fucking teeth out the back of his skull. Oh well, maybe next time.
The Grinch who stole Christmas
Merry Christmas from the Shaved Ape!
Christians and their spokespeople, such as Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity, are “taking back Christmas”. As O’Reilly might say, Christmas became a generic “holiday” because of the progressive secularists (i.e. liberals). Christmas trees became holiday trees, and the Christmas season became the holiday season. Political correctness, the sad legacy of liberalism, has scared most companies into wishing everyone a “happy holiday” rather than a “merry Christmas” for fear of offending a tiny minority of people.
A lot of the rhetoric has to do with Dec. 25 being Christ’s birthday, and that Christmas trees have always been Christmas trees, with no need to label them as “holiday trees.”
That is laughable garbage. Are there no Christians reading history books? Yule logs and the decoration of trees were pagan traditions long before Jesus’ time. Spreading through Europe, Christian missionaries discovered they couldn't force Celts to abandon long held traditions. There is absolutely nothing Christian about a Christmas tree. Jesus H. Christ himself would not have known what a Christmas tree was.
The date, Dec. 25, has similar problems. The dominant cult in Roman lands prior to the rise of Christianity was the worship of Mithras, a deity thought to have been born on Dec. 25. Are Christians too dumb to make the connection? Are they too afraid of having their faith shaken by such a coincidence?
Now, in 2005 (and where is Nietzsche when we need him; “Almost 2000 years and no new god.”), Christians in the good ole’ US of A are indignant that somebody is trying to steal “their” date of Dec. 25, and take away “their” precious Christmas tree?
This is Class A idiocy. These are mindless, brainwashed fools. Have your Christmas tree, Christians, and try not to stampede each other at Walmart. Just be quiet about it, please.

Chechen rebel squirrels
This is a great story from the BBC:
This story reminds me of a squirrel story from long ago. When I was a kid, a neighbor was angry that squirrels were thieving bird food. Was it the same few squirrels, or a differrent one every time? To figure out the puzzle, he live-trapped every squirrel in the neighborhood, one at a time, and spray-painted each one a different color. That would let him monitor their comings and goings. What a dumbass.
Well, the guy's scientific study didn't work. The squirrels spent the entire afternoon, and part of the next day, scratching themselves almost to death. The paint was completely gone before anything could be learned.
Squirrels have bitten to death a stray dog which was barking at them in a Russian park, local media report.
Passers-by were too late to stop the attack by the black squirrels in a village in the far east, which reportedly lasted about a minute.
They are said to have scampered off at the sight of humans, some carrying pieces of flesh.
